The Hive is a choral portrait of several December days in Madrid, 1942 — a bustling café where dozens of lives intersect, filled with dreams, hunger, and hope. With tenderness and humor, the work portrays the daily struggle for survival and the preservation of dignity. It serves as a mirror to Spanish society then — and now.
The production features eight actors portraying forty characters, in an adaptation that faithfully preserves the novel’s content and language while aiming to move and surprise the audience.
