The Story of Cardenio — William Shakespeare and John Fletcher

“The Story of Cardenio” premiered in 1613, but the complete original text has not survived. Based on the scholarly reconstruction by Gary Taylor, professor at Florida State University, a new stage version of this play has been produced—never before staged in Spain, despite considerable interest due to its foundation in a character from Miguel de Cervantes’ *The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote of La Mancha*.

Thus, the talents of two universally acclaimed authors—Cervantes and Shakespeare—are brought together in this production.
