The Principal Theatre of Alicante is one of the most iconic theatres in the Valencian Community, located on Ruperto Chapí Square in the city centre. Opened in 1832, this historic building features neoclassical architecture and a capacity of around 1,500 spectators. Managed by the Alicante City Council, it is part of Spain's network of state theatres. The venue hosts operas, classical plays, modern musicals, and concerts.
