Founded in 2008 with the Brass Academy Alicante, the Brass Ensemble brings together the academy's top students to perform high-quality works from various styles and periods while expanding students' educational repertoire.
Some members have joined prestigious international orchestras such as the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie, Helsinki Philharmonic, Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester, JONDE, and the Finnish National Opera. Academy faculty also participate in the ensemble, offering shared practical and stage experience.
The standard lineup includes 6 trumpets, 5 horns, 4 trombones, a euphonium, and 2 tubas, expandable depending on repertoire. Under the direction of Rudi Korp, the ensemble has performed across Spain and at the Schagerl Festival in Austria.
Guest soloists have included renowned musicians such as Gábor Tarkövi, Sarah Willis, Nury Guarnaschelli, and Lito Fontana...
