Composer and pianist Albert Guinovart is a restless, versatile musician who perfectly embodies the harmony between his multiple artistic facets: composition, orchestration, teaching, and his well-established role as an acclaimed performer of both the great classical and romantic repertoire and his own extensive piano works. His compositions have been premiered in prestigious concert halls around the world by renowned performers, orchestras, and internationally acclaimed conductors.
His prolific output includes two operas—*Atzar* and *Alba Eterna*—a ballet titled *Terra Baixa*, six musicals (*Mar y Cielo*, *Flor de Nit*, among others), a large catalogue of powerful and vibrant orchestral works, choral-symphonic pieces, and a significant body of chamber music, with the piano remaining a constant presence throughout his career from its beginnings to the present day.
In the recording field, he has released over sixty titles to date, many published by prestigious labels such as EMI, DECCA, Harmonía Mundi, and SONY CLASSICAL. These include repertoire for which he is considered a reference interpreter—such as Joaquín Turina, Enric Granados, Isaac Albéniz, and Joaquín Rodrigo—as well as recordings of his own compositions.
