**HEATHER NEWHOUSE**

Canadian soprano Heather Newhouse has won several international competitions, including the International Baroque Singing Competition in Froville, where she took first prize, as well as the Canadian National Music Festival, the Lotte Lehmann CyberSing Art Song Competition (USA), and the Toulouse International French Melody Interpretation Competition.

In 2010, she participated in the European Academy of Music in Aix-en-Provence. She holds degrees from the University of Western Ontario, the Guildhall School in London, and the CNSMD in Lyon.

From 2011 to 2013, Heather Newhouse was part of the Studio de l’Opéra national de Lyon. In addition to her operatic engagements, she has been regularly collaborating with Le Concert de l’Hostel Dieu since 2008, serving as its principal soprano soloist.

**FRANCK-EMMANUEL COMTE**

Since completing his studies at the Lyon Conservatoire, Franck-Emmanuel Comte has held key positions and performed at opera theatres (including Nantes, Lyon, and the Paris Opera Studio), as well as with orchestras such as the Orchestre des Pays de Savoie, Ensemble Orchestral Contemporain, Auckland University Orchestra, and Collegium Musicum Riga.

As artistic director of Le Concert de l’Hostel Dieu since its inception, he has conducted over 2,000 concerts and 20 recordings with the ensemble. He is frequently invited to major cities across Europe and worldwide, as well as to numerous international festivals.

**LE CONCERT DE L’HOSTEL DIEU**

Le Concert de l’Hostel Dieu is a leading ensemble in the French baroque music scene. It is renowned for its sensitive and dynamic interpretations of 18th-century vocal and instrumental repertoire, guided by philological research and historically informed performance practices.

Under the direction of Franck-Emmanuel Comte, the ensemble actively promotes the unique baroque manuscripts preserved in libraries across the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, undertaking numerous reconstructions and editions of previously unknown works.

Enriched by stimulating artistic collaborations, the ensemble builds bridges between different baroque aesthetics and diverse cultural and artistic traditions.

Projects by Le Concert de l’Hostel Dieu are supported by the city of Lyon, the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, DRAC Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Centre National de la Musique, SPEDIDAM, ADAMI, and Maison de la Musique Contemporaine.
