The spirited Moana is destined one day to become chief of the island of Motunui. When villagers can no longer catch fish and all crops fail, Moana discovers that the demigod Maui caused the calamity after stealing the heart of the goddess Te Fiti.

The only way to save the island’s fate is to venture into the open ocean and find Maui so he may return Te Fiti’s heart. Moana, accompanied by her inseparable rooster Hei Hei, embarks on a daring journey to save her village—guided by her beloved, wise grandmother Tala, whose deep connection with Moana and the ocean remains constant.
