‘A Meeting with the Blues’ features Chicago-based artist Sheryl Youngblood at this year’s Alicante Blues Festival. A dynamic vocalist, drummer, composer, bandleader, and performer rooted in blues, gospel, and soul, Youngblood is a mainstay of the Chicago blues scene. A Grammy Award winner in Gospel music, recipient of the Jus’Blues Foundation Lifetime Achievement Award, and inductee into the Chicago Blues Hall of Fame, she performs with an internationally acclaimed band of seasoned musicians.
