Kyrgyz National Theatre Presents Ballet 'The Nutcracker'

The Kyrgyz National Theatre of Opera and Ballet presents one of the most beloved Christmas tales — Pyotr Tchaikovsky's ballet 'The Nutcracker', choreographed by Natalia Yananis under the artistic direction of Aizada Tumakova.

Titled 'Winter Tale', the performance transports audiences to the festive drawing room of the Silberhaus family, filled with Christmas anticipation. Young Maria and her brother Fritz joyfully unwrap their gifts, among which stands out the mysterious and majestic Nutcracker. That very night begins the heroine’s magical journey into a fairy-tale land full of fairies, giants, and living dolls, where the famous 'Waltz of the Snowflakes' resounds.

Leading soloists of the theatre will perform the main roles: Atabek Sadyrkulov, Merim Sultakaeva, and Eles Arukov. Over 40 dancers — principals and corps de ballet of the Kyrgyz National Opera and Ballet Theatre — will take the stage.

'The Nutcracker' traditionally becomes one of the most anticipated events of the New Year season and a wonderful gift for the whole family during the holidays.
