On 14 March 2026, the charming coastal town of El Campello (Alicante province) will host its beloved Sant Josep Family Festival — one of Valencia’s most authentic spring celebrations. Organised by the Sant Josep association with support from the local council and community groups, this vibrant event brings together generations through music, traditional games, gastronomy, and lively street processions.
The festivities kick off at 12:30 with an interactive children’s musical show featuring Valencian artist Dani Miquel and the group Ma-Me-Mi-Mo-Músics. At 16:45, a joyful pasacalles (street parade) winds through the town with local bands and performers. At 17:00, the wind ensemble La Nova de El Campello delivers a spirited open-air concert on Plaza de la Iglesia. From 18:00, kids dive into creative workshops and the Musical Disney entertainment zone, complete with contests and themed activities. The highlight arrives at 19:30: the Correfoc infantil — a child-friendly version of Valencia’s iconic fire run, where costumed ‘devils’ dance amid controlled sparks and rhythmic drumming. The day closes with hot chocolate and traditional buñuelos — sweet fritters served in honour of Saint Joseph.
Sant Josep is deeply rooted in Valencian culture: throughout March, towns across the region celebrate craftsmanship, family, and spring’s renewal. In El Campello, the festival stands out for its warm, inclusive spirit, strong community ties, and commitment to intergenerational joy. Free admission — everyone is welcome!
