*Fetén Sinfónico* is a contemporary interpretation of traditional music in which original compositions by this unique duo are orchestrated by Pascual Piqueras, Diego Galaz, Miguel Malla, and Ignacio Cantalejo. Audiences will travel through the rhythms of Spanish folk and roots music, discovering incredible unusual instruments such as the saw, strohviol, camping chair flute, or recogeval.

The melodies in this programme explore our musical roots while incorporating refreshing and evocative nuances from various European and South American landscapes that Fetén Fetén has encountered during their international tours—tours that have already brought them to over 1,000 concerts across Spain.

One format of this project is the “School Concerts,” designed to make the performance both informative and educational, familiarizing students with the sounds and emotions of a symphony orchestra, along with providing outreach and pedagogical insights into the Fetén Fetén duo itself.

This is a distinctive and original musical project where audiences can hear Fetén Fetén’s compositions enriched by the timbres and colours of orchestral arrangements for a full symphony orchestra. A fun and engaging stage presentation unites the unusual instrument sounds of Fetén Fetén with the orchestra’s rich tonal palette, creating a journey through popular rhythms and melodies characteristic of the duo's music.

Fetén Fetén is much more than the musical project of Jorge Arribas and Diego Galaz—it is the language of the soul turned into harmony. Its first notes emerged in 2009, born from the need of these musicians from Burgos to soundtrack their influences and memories.

The music of this original ensemble offers a contemporary take on traditional and popular dance music—genres that inspire and are celebrated here with imagination and creativity at the forefront. As lovers of unconventional instruments, beyond the standard ones, their live performances feature the saw, trumpet violin, camping chair flute, and recogeval.

Their compositions guide us through dance rhythms like fox-trot, waltz, chotis, seguidillas, and habaneras, rocking us across the Iberian Peninsula and carrying us from Italy to Japan or Argentina to Portugal.

These instrumental melodies, meant to be heard and danced to live, draw from our roots while incorporating innovative touches that evoke the diverse global landscapes the artists have experienced during their intense international tours—tours that have taken them across Spain in over 1,000 concerts.

Since launching in 2009, the duo has self-produced via crowdfunding the albums *Fetén Fetén* (2011) and *Bailables* (2014).

In 2016 came *Cantables*, an album that introduced lyrics and vocals into their music, featuring renowned artists such as Fito Cabrales, Jorge Drexler, Julieta Venegas, and Natalia Lafourcade.

In 2018 they released *Melodías de Ultramar*, a self-produced album inviting listeners to join them on journeys across seas and oceans connecting all the places visited by this unique ensemble—journeys that have nourished them with diverse rhythms and styles, reinventing how popular music is understood by these two original artists.

In September 2021, together with composer and producer Sebastián Schon, they released *Cantables II*, again adding lyrics and vocalists to their melodies—16 songs performed by artists such as Coque Malla, Bunbury, El Kanka, Depedro, and M.O.D.A.

Collaborations with internationally acclaimed artists—including Jorge Drexler, Pasión Vega, DePedro, Rozalén, Javier Ruibal, and Pedro Pastor—appearances as musicians in Fito & Fitipaldis' theatre tour, the show *Pretérito Imperfecto* with journalist Nieves Concostrina, and their performance *3yJazz* with Miguel Malla complete the trajectory of this versatile duo.
