An elderly musician teaches his grandson, passing down ancestral wisdom and philosophies through music. Time passes in the village as the young boy becomes immersed in his traditions. Following the African proverb: «The days that raise children are the same ones that age the elders», the grandfather falls ill. Due to old age, he begins to lose his sight. The desire to heal his grandfather drives the boy to decide to leave the village and migrate to big cities in search of a cure. The young man sets off for Europe — «Sí beyëng», an unknown world to him, carrying only the knowledge of his people preserved in ancestral melodies and rhythms.
