Who is Catherine Russell?
- Daughter of Louis Russell — Louis Armstrong’s personal pianist and musical director
- Daughter of Carline Ray — the first female bassist in the history of major jazz orchestras
- Has performed and recorded with David Bowie, Cyndi Lauper, Paul Simon, Steely Dan, and Wynton Marsalis
- Grammy winner for the soundtrack of "Boardwalk Empire" and two-time nominee for her own albums
- Her last two albums topped the US jazz chart JazzWeek
