"American Buffalo" plunges us into the world of Don, a junk shop owner in Chicago, who tries to recover a valuable five-cent buffalo coin he sold for only a fraction of its true worth. Together with his young employee Bob and his poker buddy Teach, they hatch a plan to steal the coin back, setting off a chain of events filled with intrigue, tension, and unexpected surprises. The play explores the complex relationships among the characters, as well as universal themes such as greed, friendship, and sacrifice.
