New Useful Info for Tourists and Residents in Alicante!

The Russian-speaking community "Nравится en_Alicante и другим" has put together the perfect list of things to show your guests when they visit Alicante. And yes, number one is, of course, our amazing Santa Bárbara Castle. To keep your family and friends entertained and instantly in love with the city, here's a ready-to-use free plan for the coming days (valid for November 2025):

Santa Bárbara Castle Opening Hours

Mon–Fri: 10:00–20:00

From November 14, Sat–Sun: 10:00–18:00

Admission is free!

How to get up for free (no queues, no heat):

• On foot from the Central Market or Old Town — 25–30 minutes walk with stunning views

• Elevator: €2.70 (Avda. Juan Bautista Lafora, opposite Postiguet)

• Minibus from Porta del Mar or Gómez Ulla Square (near MARQ): only €1.45

Free guided tours of the castle

Mon–Fri: 13:00 and 17:30

Sat–Sun: 12:00 (theatrical tour) and 17:30

No registration needed — just show up!

Free events in November (perfect for visitors!)

• November 15, 29, and 30 — 13:00 → Flamenco cycle (live performances!)

• November 16, 22, and 29 — 12:00 → Craft workshops for kids and adults

• November 23 — 12:30 → Concert by students of the Óscar Esplá Conservatory (classical music at its best!)
