ZENET “The Voice and the Hands”
Lila Horovitz — double bass
Aaron Pozo — saxophone
Julián Olivares — guitar
ZENET returns to the stage with a concert presenting her new album, *The Voice and the Hands* — her most intimate work since *The Seas of China*. This project focuses on the essence of songwriting and the genres that have shaped her life. Throughout her career, ZENET has proven herself a true genre “thief”: evoking tango, hinting at bossa nova, flirting with bolero or chanson. In this new work, she fully immerses herself in each style—not quoting them, but inhabiting them.
Bolero, tango, bossa nova, folk—the sound is pure and sincere: real instruments, voices front-and-centre, no digital artifice.
This album was born as a tribute to José Taboada, her late musical partner—absent in person, yet deeply present throughout this journey, with stops along memory, roots, and artisanal sound. It’s not an album you merely hear—it’s one you *feel*.
This is more than a concert: it’s a sonic journey embracing the past and bringing it into the present—with ZENET as its unfiltered, fully expressive protagonist.
