ZENET "The Voice and the Hands"
Lila Horovitz — double bass
Aaron Pozo — saxophone
Julián Olivares — guitar
ZENET returns to the stage with a concert presenting live their new album, *The Voice and the Hands* — their most intimate record since *The Seas of China*. Focused on the essence of song and the genres that have shaped their artistic life, this work marks a deep immersion into musical roots. Throughout their career, ZENET has proudly embodied the role of a true genre “thief”: evoking tango, hinting at bossa nova, flirting with bolero or chanson. In this new album, they no longer allude — they fully inhabit each genre.
Bolero, tango, bossa nova, folk — all resonate in pure, sincere sound: real instruments, voices upfront, and zero digital artifice.
This new album was born as a tribute to José Taboada, their late musical companion — absent in person, yet profoundly present in this journey, with stops along memory, heritage, and artisanal sound.
It’s not only an album you listen to — it’s one you *feel*. Not just a concert, but a sonic journey embracing the past and bringing it vividly into the present — with ZENET as its unguarded, fully expressive protagonist on stage.
