ZENET “The Voice and the Hands”
Lila Horovitz — double bass
Aaron Pozo — saxophone
Raúl Kiokio — guitar
ZENET returns to the stage with a concert presenting live their new album, *The Voice and the Hands* — their most intimate release since *The Seas of China*. Centered on the essence of song and the genres that have shaped their life, this work marks a deep immersion into musical roots. Throughout their career, ZENET has been a true genre “thief”: evoking tango, hinting at bossa nova, flirting with bolero and chanson. In this new album, they don’t just reference these styles — they *inhabit* them.
Bolero, tango, bossa nova, folk — all resonate in pure, sincere sound, performed on real instruments with voice front and center, free of digital artifice.
The album was born as a tribute to José Taboada, ZENET’s late musical partner — absent in body, yet deeply present in this journey. Stops are made along memory, heritage, and hand-crafted sound.
This is not merely an album to be heard — it is one to be *felt*. Not just a concert, but a sonic journey embracing the past and bringing it vividly into the present — with ZENET as its unguarded, fully realized protagonist on stage.
