ZENET «The Hands and the Voice»
Lila Horovitz — double bass
Aaron Pozo — saxophone
Julián Olivares — guitar
ZENET returns to the stage with a concert presenting her new album *The Voice and the Hands* — her most intimate work since *The Seas of China*. Focused on the essence of song and the genres that have shaped her life, this album marks a deep immersion into musical roots. Throughout her career, ZENET has proven herself a true genre “thief”: evoking tango, hinting at bossa nova, flirting with bolero and chanson. In this new work, she doesn’t merely reference these styles — she *inhabits* them.
Bolero, tango, bossa nova, folk — all resonate in pure, sincere sound: real instruments, voices upfront, no digital artifice.
This album was born as a tribute to José Taboada, her late musical partner — absent in person, yet deeply present in this journey through memory, heritage, and artisanal sound.
It’s not just an album you listen to — it’s one you *feel*. Not merely a concert — it’s a sonic journey embracing the past and bringing it vividly into the present, with ZENET as its vulnerable, radiant, and fully expressive protagonist.
