ZENET «The Hands and the Voice»
Lila Horovitz — double bass
Aaron Pozo — saxophone
Julián Olivares — guitar
ZENET returns to the stage with a concert presenting live their new album *The Voice and the Hands* — their most intimate work since *The Seas of China*. Here, the essence of song and the genres that have shaped their musical life take centre stage. Throughout their career, ZENET has earned a reputation as a true genre thief: hinting at tango, suggesting bossa nova, flirting with bolero or chanson. In this new work, they dive fully into each — not quoting them, but *inhabiting* them.
Bolero, tango, bossa nova, folk — all rendered in pure, sincere sound: real instruments, voice front and centre, with no digital artifice.
This new album was born as a tribute to José Taboada, their absent yet ever-present musical companion. The journey unfolds through memories, roots, and artisanal sound. It’s not just an album you hear — it’s one you *feel*. Not merely a concert, but a sonic journey embracing the past and bringing it vividly into the present — with ZENET as its unguarded, fully expressive protagonist.
