ZENET «The Hands and the Voice»
Lila Horovitz — double bass
Aaron Pozo — saxophone
Julián Olivares — guitar
ZENET returns to the stage with a concert presenting their new album *The Voice and the Hands* — their most intimate work since *The Seas of China*. At its core lies the essence of song and the genres that have shaped the band’s life journey. Throughout their career, ZENET has proven itself a true genre “thief”: suggesting tangos, hinting at bossa nova, flirting with bolero or chanson. In this new work, however, they fully immerse themselves in each — not quoting them, but inhabiting them.
Bolero, tango, bossa nova, folk — all resonate in pure, sincere sound: real instruments, voice upfront, no digital artifice.
This new album was born as a tribute to José Taboada, ZENET’s late musical partner — absent in body, yet profoundly present in this journey. It moves through memories, roots, and artisanal sound: music crafted by hand, with heart. This is not just an album to be heard — it is one to be *felt*. Not merely a concert, but a sonic journey embracing the past and bringing it vividly into the present — with ZENET as its unguarded, radiant protagonist, reaching the peak of expressive authenticity on stage.
