ZENET «The Hands and the Voice»
Lila Horovitz — double bass
Aaron Pozo — saxophone
Julián Olivares — guitar
ZENET returns to the stage with a concert presenting live their new album *The Voice and the Hands* — their most intimate work since *The Seas of China*. At its core lies the essence of song and the genres that have shaped the band’s life. Over a long career marked by genre fluidity — hinting at tango, suggesting bossa nova, flirting with bolero or chanson — ZENET now fully immerses itself in each of these traditions: not quoting them, but *inhabiting* them.
Bolero, tango, bossa nova, folk — all resonate with pure, sincere sound: real instruments, voice front-and-centre, no digital artifice.
This new album emerged as a tribute to José Taboada, ZENET’s absent yet ever-present musical companion — a journey punctuated by memories, roots, and handcrafted sonority.
It’s not just an album you listen to — it’s one you *feel*. Not merely a concert, but a sonic voyage embracing the past and bringing it vividly into the present — with ZENET, laid bare and reaching its fullest expressive power on stage.
