ZENET «Hands and Voice»
Lila Horovitz — double bass
Aaron Pozo — saxophone
Julián Olivares — guitar
ZENET returns to the stage with a concert presenting live their new album *The Voice and the Hands* — their most intimate work since *The Seas of China*. The album focuses on the essence of song and the genres that have shaped the band’s musical life. Over their career, ZENET has proven themselves true genre “thieves”: evoking tango, suggesting bossa nova, flirting with bolero or chanson. In this new work, they dive fully into each — not quoting them, but inhabiting them.
Bolero, tango, bossa nova, folk — all resonate in pure, sincere sound: real instruments, voices upfront, no digital artifice.
This new album emerged as a tribute to José Taboada, ZENET’s late musical partner — absent in body, yet deeply present on this journey, with stops at memory, roots, and artisanal sound.
It’s not just an album you listen to — it’s one you *feel*. Not merely a concert — it’s a sonic journey embracing the past and bringing it vividly into the present, with ZENET as its unguarded, fully expressive protagonist.
