ZENET «Hands and Voice»
Lila Horovitz — double bass
Aaron Pozo — saxophone
Julián Olivares — guitar
ZENET returns to the stage with a concert presenting their new album *The Voice and the Hands* — their most intimate work since *The Seas of China*. At its core lies the essence of song and the genres that have shaped the band’s artistic journey. Over a career marked by genre fluidity — hinting at tango, suggesting bossa nova, flirting with bolero or chanson — ZENET now fully immerses itself in each tradition. They don’t quote these styles — they inhabit them.
Bolero, tango, bossa nova, folk: all resonate with pure, sincere sound — performed on acoustic instruments, with voice front and center, and zero digital artifice.
This new album emerges as a tribute to José Taboada, ZENET’s late musical companion — absent in person, yet profoundly present in this journey through memory, roots, and artisanal sound. It’s not just an album you listen to — it’s one you *feel*. And it’s not merely a concert: it’s a sonic voyage that embraces the past and brings it vividly into the present — with ZENET, laid bare and reaching peak expression on stage.
