ZENET «Hands and Voice»
Lila Horovitz — double bass
Aaron Pozo — saxophone
Julián Olivares — guitar
ZENET returns to the stage with a concert presenting live their new album *The Voice and the Hands* — their most intimate work since *The Seas of China*. The album focuses on the essence of song and the genres that have shaped ZENET’s life. Over a career marked by genre fluidity — evoking tango, suggesting bossa nova, flirting with bolero or chanson — this new work fully immerses itself in each tradition. It doesn’t quote them: it inhabits them.
Bolero, tango, bossa nova, folk: pure and sincere sound, built around acoustic instruments and unprocessed voices upfront — free of digital artifice. This new album emerges as a tribute to José Taboada, ZENET’s late musical partner — absent in person, yet deeply present throughout this journey, echoing through memories, roots, and artisanal sound. It’s not merely an album you listen to — it’s one you *feel*. Not just a concert, but a sonic journey embracing the past and bringing it vividly into the present — with ZENET at its heart, fully exposed and reaching peak expressive power on stage.
