ZENET «Hands and Voice»
Lila Horovitz — double bass
Aaron Pozo — saxophone
Julián Olivares — guitar
ZENET returns to the stage with a concert presenting their new album *The Voice and the Hands* — their most intimate work since *The Seas of China*. At its core lies the essence of song and the musical genres that have shaped the band’s life journey. Over a long career, ZENET has earned a reputation as a true genre “thief”: hinting at tango, suggesting bossa nova, flirting with bolero or chanson. In this new album, however, they don’t just reference these styles — they inhabit them fully. Bolero, tango, bossa nova, folk — all resonate in pure, sincere sound, performed on acoustic instruments with voices front and center, free from digital artifice.
This new album was born as a tribute to José Taboada, ZENET’s late musical partner — absent in person, yet deeply present throughout this journey. Stops are made at memories, roots, and artisanal sound. It’s not merely an album to be heard — it’s one to be *felt*. Not just a concert, but a sonic journey embracing the past and bringing it vividly into the present — with ZENET as its unguarded, vulnerable, and powerfully expressive protagonist on stage.
