ZENET «Hands and Voice»
Lila Horovitz — double bass
Aaron Pozo — saxophone
Julián Olivares — guitar
ZENET returns to the stage with a concert presenting live their new album *The Voice and the Hands* — their most intimate record since *The Seas of China*. At its core lies the essence of song and the genres that have shaped the band’s musical life. Throughout their career, ZENET has been celebrated as a true genre “thief”: hinting at tango, suggesting bossa nova, flirting with bolero or chanson. In this new work, however, they fully immerse themselves in each genre — not quoting them, but *inhabiting* them: bolero, tango, bossa nova, and folk. The sound is pure and sincere — real instruments, voices upfront, no digital artifice.
This new album emerged as a tribute to José Taboada, their absent yet ever-present musical companion. It’s a journey through memory, roots, and artisanal sound. It’s not just an album to be heard — it’s one to be *felt*. And it’s not just a concert: it’s a sonic voyage embracing the past and bringing it vividly into the present, with ZENET as the open-hearted, deeply expressive protagonist at its centre.
