ZENET «Hands and Voice»
Lila Horovitz — double bass
Aaron Pozo — saxophone
Julián Olivares — guitar
ZENET returns to the stage with a concert presenting live their new album *The Voice and the Hands* — their most intimate work since *The Seas of China*. Focused on the essence of song and the genres that have shaped their life, this album marks a deep dive into musical roots. Throughout their career, ZENET has been a true genre “thief”: evoking tangos, hinting at bossas, flirting with bolero or chanson. In this new work, they don’t just reference these styles — they fully inhabit them.
Bolero, tango, bossa nova, folk — all rendered in pure, sincere sound: real instruments, voices front-and-centre, no digital artifice.
Born as a tribute to José Taboada — ZENET’s late musical companion, absent in person yet deeply present in this journey — the album moves through memories, origins, and artisanal sound. It’s not merely an album to be heard — it’s one to be *felt*. Not just a concert, but a sonic journey embracing the past and bringing it vividly into the present, with ZENET laying themselves bare and reaching peak expressiveness on stage.
