ZENET «Hands and Voice»
Lila Horovitz — double bass
Aaron Pozo — saxophone
Julián Olivares — guitar
ZENET returns to the stage with a concert presenting their new album *The Voice and the Hands* — their most intimate record since *The Seas of China*. At its core lies the essence of song and the genres that have shaped the band’s artistic journey. After a career defined by genre-blending — evoking tango, hinting at bossa nova, flirting with bolero and chanson — this new work dives fully into each tradition. It doesn’t quote them: it inhabits them. Bolero, tango, bossa nova, folk — all rendered in pure, sincere sound, with real instruments and voices front and center, and no digital artifice.
This new album was born as a tribute to José Taboada, ZENET’s late musical partner — absent in person, yet deeply present in this journey, which pauses at memories, roots, and handcrafted sonority. It is not just an album to be heard — it is one to be *felt*. Not merely a concert, but a sonic journey embracing the past and bringing it vividly into the present — with ZENET, at their most exposed and expressive, taking center stage.
