ZENET «Hands and Voice»
Lila Horovitz — double bass
Aaron Pozo — saxophone
Julián Olivares — guitar
ZENET returns to the stage with a concert presenting their new album *The Voice and the Hands* — their most intimate record since *The Seas of China*. Centered on the essence of song and the genres that have shaped their musical life, this work marks a deep immersion into core traditions. Throughout their career, ZENET has been celebrated as a true genre thief — evoking tango, hinting at bossa nova, flirting with bolero or chanson. In this new album, they no longer allude: they *inhabit* each genre fully.
Bolero, tango, bossa nova, folk — all rendered in pure, sincere sound, performed on acoustic instruments with voice front and center, free of digital artifice.
The album was born as a tribute to José Taboada, their absent yet ever-present musical companion. This journey pauses at memories, roots, and artisanal sound — handcrafted, human, resonant.
This is not just an album you hear — it’s one you *feel*. Not merely a concert, but a sonic journey embracing the past and bringing it vividly into the present — with ZENET, unguarded and at their most expressive, taking center stage.
