Alicante celebrates the third edition of La millor tapeta del món, a gastronomic event that fuses tradition and innovation through tapas, the hallmark of Alicante's culinary culture. From September 15 to 23, renowned chefs from across the province will host live show cooking sessions with free tastings as part of the Alicante Spanish Capital of Gastronomy 2025 programme.

Organized by Alicante City Council, the Costa Blanca Tourist Board, and the Provincial Association of Hospitality Entrepreneurs of Alicante (APEHA), this event seeks to establish Alicante as a prominent destination for culinary tourism.

Showcooking schedule:

  • September 15: Finca de Santa Luzia presents mini cannelloni with stewed pork cheeks, boletus mushrooms, and foie gras.
  • September 16: Restaurante Alfonso Mira showcases panettone with smoked butter, anchovies, and herring roe.
  • September 17: Restaurante Cassana serves cod meatballs with pericana and chef’s special sauce.
  • September 22: Paco Baile Restaurant presents aubergine cannelloni with mushrooms and foie gras.
  • September 23: La Mar de Bien Restaurant concludes the event with a free-range chicken croquette topped with crispy pork crackling and its juices on a liver pâté.

Admission is free, but space is limited. The event will take place in the Cerca kitchens, located on the ground floor of the Central Market in Alicante.
