Kyiv Ballet to Present 'The Nutcracker' at Palau Altea on January 10, 2026

Following triumphant tours across Spain from 2022 to 2025, which drew over 225,000 spectators, the Kyiv State Ballet returns to Spanish stages in the 2026 season. One of the first stops on the new tour will be the picturesque town of Altea on the Costa Blanca.

On January 10, 2026, the modern venue of Palau Altea (Carrer d’Alcoi, 18) will host one of the world’s most beloved ballets—Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker, featuring the classic choreography by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov.

This production, long associated with New Year and Christmas celebrations, will transport audiences into the magical world of young Marie, the Prince-Nutcracker, and the enchanted Kingdom of Sweets. Renowned pieces such as the "Waltz of the Snowflakes," "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy," and the pas de deux, performed by the principal dancers and corps de ballet of the Kyiv Ballet, consistently receive enthusiastic acclaim from Spanish audiences.
