The Nutcracker on Ice

Step into the enchanting world of a Christmas fairy tale — the internationally acclaimed ice show The Nutcracker makes its Spanish premiere at VB Spaces in Alicante. Blending classical ballet, circus arts, and figure skating, this spectacular production is based on E. T. A. Hoffmann’s beloved story The Nutcracker and the Mouse King, brought to life by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s timeless score.

On the custom-designed artificial ice rink, world-class performers take the stage: the Austrian Wiener Stadtballett, artists from Berlin-based Agenda Production Circus, and award-winning circus stars from Cuba and Mexico — winners of prestigious festivals in Monte Carlo, Paris, Latina (Italy), Girona (Spain), and Zhuhai Hengqin (China). Expect breathtaking acrobatics performed without safety harnesses, gymnastic feats, bicycle choreography, juggling, balancing acts — all seamlessly integrated with elegant figure skating.

The production dazzles with over 300 handcrafted costumes and cutting-edge multimedia scenery featuring dynamic LED sets, evoking the magic of Christmas Eve: twinkling tree lights, the scent of cinnamon and pine, and the enchanted awakening of toys as clocks stand still and dreams come alive.

A family-friendly experience — children under 12 enjoy a 30% discount.
