Twenty years after its original release, *Peace* returns to the stage as a fresh reinterpretation of Bill Evans’s musical universe through Niño Josele’s distinctive lens. In this project, the flamenco guitar assumes the role of the piano, translating its harmonic richness into its own expressive language.
Conceived as a jazz project rather than a fusion, the trio creates an intimate and open sonic space where improvisation and interplay are essential.
The repertoire blends pieces from the original album with new readings—striking a balance between structure and freedom.
The result is a delicate and deeply expressive musical statement that reveals music’s power to build bridges between traditions through a personal, contemporary voice.
More than a reinterpretation, *Peace* functions as a shift in perspective: Evans’s language is not transplanted—it is transformed. The guitar does not imitate the piano; instead, it reimagines it from its own sonic material, generating a subtle tension between memory and present that defines the character of the concert.
