NIÑO JOSELE “PEACE” — A Tribute to Bill Evans
A tribute to Bill Evans.
Niño Josele — flamenco guitar,
Dani Noel — double bass,
Daniel García Bruno — drums.
Guest artist: Raynald Colom — trumpet.
Twenty years after its original release, *Peace* returns to the stage as a fresh reinterpretation of Bill Evans’s musical universe through Niño Josele’s distinctive lens. In this project, the flamenco guitar assumes the role of the piano, translating its harmonic richness into its own expressive language.
Conceived more as a jazz project than a fusion effort, the trio builds an intimate and open sonic space where improvisation and real-time interaction are essential.
The repertoire blends pieces from the original album with new readings—striking a balance between structure and freedom.
The result is a delicate, deeply expressive proposal that reveals music’s power to build bridges across traditions through a personal, contemporary voice.
More than a reinterpretation, *Peace* functions as a shift in perspective: Evans’s language is not transplanted—it is transformed. The guitar does not imitate the piano; rather, it reimagines it from within its own sonic materiality, generating a subtle tension between memory and presence that defines the character of the concert.
