Twenty years after its original release, *Peace* returns to the stage as a reimagining of Bill Evans’s musical universe through Niño Josele’s distinctive lens. In this project, the flamenco guitar assumes the role of the piano, translating its harmonic richness into its own sonic language.
Conceived as a jazz project rather than a fusion, the trio creates an intimate and open sonic space where improvisation and real-time interaction are essential. The repertoire blends pieces from the original album with fresh reinterpretations—striking a delicate balance between structure and freedom.
The result is a subtle, deeply expressive proposal that reveals music’s capacity to build bridges between traditions through a personal, contemporary voice.
More than a reinterpretation, *Peace* functions as a shift in perspective: Evans’s language is not transplanted—it is transformed. The guitar does not imitate the piano; instead, it reimagines it from within its own sonic materiality, generating a subtle tension between memory and presence that defines the character of the concert.
