Official Lighting of Christmas Lights and Tree

• Location: Avenida de la Constitución (central avenue)
• Time: 7:00 PM
• What’s happening: illumination turned on across the city center, a giant Christmas tree glowing with thousands of lights, accompanied by music.

Sunday, November 23, 2025

Grand Opening of the Giant Nativity Scene — the Largest in the World!

• Location: Plaza del Ayuntamiento (City Hall Square)
• Time: Light and music show starts at 6:30 PM
• What to expect: fully assembled figures up to 18 meters tall — the Virgin Mary, Saint Joseph, the Three Wise Men, and the Baby Jesus. The show lasts about 15–20 minutes and will be spectacular!

Important! Traffic Changes Starting November 23:

• From Sunday, November 23, City Hall Square (Plaza del Ayuntamiento) will be completely closed to private vehicles.
• After January 6, 2026, access will only be allowed for public transport, taxis, and tour buses.

• Belen de La Montañeta — 4 scenes (biblical + traditional customs)
• Thursday, November 27, 7:00 PM
• Official opening of the municipal nativity scene in the City Hall lobby + social nativity scene by the Alejandro Canovas association

We recommend arriving early — huge crowds are expected during the first few days!

The metro-tram (TRAM) and city buses will operate on an enhanced schedule.
