Christmas Nativity Scenes in Alicante

In the lead-up to Christmas, Alicante is adorned with traditional nativity scenes (cribs) depicting scenes from the life of Jesus. This year, four official openings of different nativity displays are scheduled across the city.

The festivities begin on November 26 at Plaza de La Montañeta with the impressive "Belén Social," which combines biblical and everyday scenes. The next day, the famous nativity scene in the town hall vestibule will attract visitors with its large size and classic design. On December 1, guests can explore miniature cribs at Plaza de Gabriel Miró, and on December 3, the final event takes place at the Provincial Deputation building, featuring a grand nativity scene crafted by local artisans.

This is an important cultural tradition for the city, reflecting both the religious and social spirit of Spanish Christmas.
