‘History and Critical Thinking’ Day: Dialogue with Antonio López Vega

Join us for an engaging in-person dialogue with renowned Spanish historian and researcher Antonio López Vega — PhD in Contemporary History from Complutense University of Madrid, former Director of the Gregorio Marañón Foundation, and current Director of the Ortega-Marañón University Research Institute. This event explores how critical judgment has evolved across history — from the Enlightenment to today — and how it confronts contemporary challenges: biased narratives, populism, and disinformation. As a leading scholar of intellectual history, liberalism, and the role of thinkers in public life, López Vega will draw insightful historical parallels and offer practical tools for analysing power, ideology, and media discourse. More than a lecture, this is a space for collective reflection, critical questioning, and civic empowerment. Free admission — but prior registration is required due to limited seating.
