Academic Symphony Orchestra of San Vicente

The Academic Symphony Orchestra of San Vicente (OSASV) was founded in 1982 as an innovative initiative to bring symphonic music closer to the province of Alicante. Over more than four decades, the orchestra has strengthened its presence through numerous concerts across the province, national tours in regions such as Catalonia, Castilla-La Mancha, and Madrid, and collaborations with internationally renowned ballet companies.

Since 2018, OSASV has been led by Pablo Gutiérrez Pastor, under whose baton the ensemble has continued to grow in artistic and musical quality.

Our repertoire is primarily based on classical symphonic works, as well as zarzuelas, lyrical concerts, and more contemporary proposals.

Our mission is to provide southern Valencia Region with a stable, diverse, and high-quality symphonic program. Each concert reflects our commitment to art, connection with audiences, and pride in being part of our region’s cultural fabric.

Pablo Gutiérrez Pastor – Artistic and Musical Director

Born in Alicante in February 1991, Pablo Gutiérrez Pastor holds professional qualifications in Piano and a higher degree in Percussion from the Conservatorio Superior de Música "Óscar Esplá" in Alicante, where he studied under the prestigious tutelage of Professor Joan Iborra, earning the Extraordinary Professional Music Award.

He trained in Conducting with renowned maestros such as José Miguel Rodilla and Juan José Navarro, completing his studies in Almería and Murcia. He has also worked with internationally acclaimed conductors including Mihnea Ignat, Hossein Pishkar, Grigor Palikarov, Ahmed El Saedi, and Enrique García Asensio, among others.

He has been invited on multiple occasions by ensembles such as the Coral Discantus de Murcia, Coral del Vinalopó, and Coral de la Universidad de Alicante. Currently, he is also the musical director of the Madrid-based company MaterLírica, with which he carries out an intense artistic activity, staging performances across various locations in Spain.

His career highlights include guest conducting roles with ensembles such as the Orquesta de Cámara de Valencia, Orchestra Toscana Classdica, Orchestra de Camera Fiorentina, Orquesta de la Universidad de Almería, the Georgian State Ballet, and the Russian State Ballet of St. Petersburg (projects carried out with OSASV).
