Alicante to Get a New 20,000-Capacity Multi-Purpose Arena
In 2026, Roig Arena will open in the province of Alicante—a modern indoor stadium set to become the largest facility of its kind in the Valencian Community. The new arena will host large-scale events, including world-class concerts that have previously not taken place in the province due to lack of suitable infrastructure.
According to Alejandro Morante, CEO of IFA-Fira Alacant, preliminary agreements have already been reached with promoters for two "great artists" of global stature. Their names remain confidential due to signed non-disclosure agreements, but concerts are scheduled for 2026 and 2027.
Roig Arena is positioned as Spain’s second most important concert venue after Madrid’s WiZink Center. The opening will allow top international performers to include Alicante on their tours, something they previously avoided.
Construction of the arena is underway in the Casalarga district, near the Plaza Mar 2 shopping center. The official opening is planned for the first quarter of 2026.
