Benidorm Strengthens Leadership: Hotel Occupancy on Costa Blanca Hits Record 83.3% in November 2025

The Valencian Community Hotels and Tourism Association, HOSBEC, has released optimistic figures for the first half of November 2025, confirming that the tourism sector is successfully combating seasonality. Benidorm once again leads the way with an average hotel occupancy rate of 83.3%, up 2 percentage points compared to November 2024. This is the best result among all destinations in Valencia and demonstrates the city's resilience as a year-round resort.

November is traditionally considered a transitional month, but in 2025 the trend is impressive: all regions of Valencia are showing growth compared to last year. The Costa Blanca as a whole reached 77% occupancy—up 8 points from 2024—driven mainly by domestic tourism from within Spain. Castellón increased by 15 points (to 72.8%), and Valencia city rose a remarkable 21 points (to 72.6%). HOSBEC experts note this progress is due to market diversification: British tourists account for up to 46.5% of visitors in Benidorm, followed by guests from the Netherlands, Belgium, and Northern Europe.

A significant spike occurred during the celebrations of the city’s patron saint festival and the Fancy Dress Party—a British-style costume carnival that attracted over 30,000 attendees. During these days, hotel occupancy surged to 96.8%, with a peak expected on November 13 at 97.2%—levels comparable to the peak summer season in August. "Benidorm isn't just surviving the low season; it's redefining it, turning November into a 'second August'," HOSBEC emphasized.

The year overall is shaping up to be record-breaking: January set a new high in overnight stays (227,388 visitors), February reached 73.7%, June achieved 83.1%, and August hit 95%. The overall forecast for 2025 predicts a 4.7-point increase compared to 2024, with a focus on sustainability and digitalization. Tourism benefits not only hotels but the entire regional economy, including retail, transportation, and the restaurant industry.
