Record Rainfall in Alicante This Christmas

Alicante has experienced its wettest Christmas in nearly a century. According to AEMET meteorological agency, over 30 liters per square meter fell in the city, making it the second-highest rainfall since record-keeping began in 1859. The southern region of Vega Baja received even more precipitation. University of Alicante's climatology lab described the phenomenon as a 'Christmas gift' for the area.
