Jesuit School of the Immaculate Conception in Alicante terminates contract with priest

The Jesuit School of the Immaculate Conception in Alicante has terminated its contract with a priest suspended by the Society of Jesus over alleged sexual abuse of minors

The Congregation of the Immaculate Conception schools (Inmaculada Jesuitas) in Alicante has severed ties with a priest who was suspended by the Jesuit Order in the early 2000s over suspicions of sexual misconduct involving minors in Alicante and Zaragoza.

As reported internally to families, the decision was made several hours after the case became public. According to the document, signed by the provincial of the Jesuit community in Alicante and the school’s director, the accused clergyman "did not interact with students" at the institution.
